Community Guidelines

1. The spirit

GainBuddy is a place to celebrate effort — every logged meal, every workout, every small win. Cheer people on, share what works for you, and respect that everyone starts somewhere.

2. Body-positive by default

• No body-shaming, mocking or unsolicited criticism of anyone's body, weight, food or progress.
• No content that promotes or glorifies eating disorders, extreme restriction, purging, “thinspiration”, or rapid-weight-loss challenges.
• No promotion of steroids, unregulated drugs, or dangerous supplements or practices.
• Share experience, not prescriptions: avoid presenting personal opinions as medical advice.

3. Respect and safety

• No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
• No sexual content or nudity. Progress photos are fine when appropriately covered (as in a gym or beach setting).
• Only post photos of yourself, or of others with their explicit permission. Never post minors.
• No impersonation, spam, scams, or selling. Don't post referral codes in other people's comments.
• Respect privacy: don't share anyone's personal information.

4. Reporting and enforcement

Use Report on any post, comment or profile, and Block to stop someone seeing or contacting you (blocking is mutual and silent). Our team reviews reports — urgent safety reports first. Depending on severity we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts. You can appeal by contacting support.

5. If you or someone else needs help

If a post suggests someone is at risk, report it and we will prioritise it. Support for eating concerns: NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association) (US), ANAD Israel (עמותת אנ"א) (Israel). In an emergency call local emergency services.
